  • Telok Kurau Malay Girl's School was built.
1962
  • Telok Kurau West School was built.
  • Telok Kurau English School became known as Telok Kurau East School.
1964, November
  • Parliamentary Secretary (Education), Abdul Rahim Ishak and his wife were guests at Telok Kurau East Primary School’s Speech Day.
  • Mr Yeo Soon Ann was appointed the principal.
1966
  • Mr Lim Teong Boon was appointed the principal.
1967        
  • A four-storey building built on the site of 408 Joo Chiat Place, replaced the wooden buildings fronting Lorong J.
  • Mr Tan Im Hock was appointed the principal.
1968, March
  • The new four-storey school building at 408 Joo Chiat Place was officially declared open by Shaari Tadin, Member of Parliament (Kampong Chai Chee).
  • Girls were admitted for the first time.
1969
  • The student population reached 2,500.
  • Mr Bernard Fernandez was appointed the principal.
