  • Closing of the school by MM Lee Kuan Yew as the Guest of Honour (GOH).
2001
  • Telok Kurau Primary School merged with Bedok Town Primary School and relocated to a new building at 50 Bedok Reservoir. Mrs Chew Lai Mun continued as principal of the school in the new premises.
  • Telok Kurau Primary School celebrated its 75 th Anniversary- ‘A History that Lives On’ held at the Mandarin Singapore on 9 November and the occasion was graced by the Guest-of-Honour (GOH) Ms Ho Peng (Director, Curriculum Planning & Development, Ministry of Education).

2002
  • Telok Kurau Primary School was officially opened on 8 November by Guest-Of-Honour (GOH) Brig Gen (NS) George Yeo, the then Minister for Trade & Industry and Member of Parliament for Aljunied GRC.
  • The GOH also officiated the opening of Telok Kurau Primary School ’s Heritage Gallery.

  • The First Lady, Mrs S R Nathan visited Telok Kurau Primary School on 30 October to celebrate Children’s Day.

2004       
  • Telok Kurau Primary School ’s award-winning SYF dance groups performed at CCAB for MOE Racial Harmony Day on 17 July. Graced by the Guest-Of-Honour (GOH), the then Acting Minister for Education, Mr Tharman Shanmugaratnam and MP Mr Hawazi Daipi.
  • Telok Kurau Primary School ’s inaugural Musical Nite was held at the Tampines Cultural Centre on 20 November entitled “Beyond The Crystal Ball” and was graced by the Guest-Of-Honour (GOH), Mr Jeffrey Chan.

2005
  • Telok Kurau Primary School was selected to carry out the activity on the “Spirit of Enterprise” for the East Zone for the 2005 MOE ExCEL Fest which included Family Edventure on 2 July.
  • Telok Kurau Primary School celebrated Singapore’s 40 th National Day with a carnival for all parents, pupils and staff on 6 August. The Guest-of-Honour (GOH), Mr Zainul Abidin Rasheed, Mayor Northeast CDC and Minister of State, Foreign Affairs officially declared the family carnival open.
  • Telok Kurau Primary School ’s Musical Extravaganza was graced by Guest-Of-Honour (GOH), Mr Gan Chin Huat (Deputy Director Schools East), Mayor Zainul Abidin Rasheed and E4 Cluster Supt Mr Chan Poh Meng on 17 November.
  • The GOH also officiated the opening of Telok Kurau Primary School ’s ‘Express Soul’ which featured avant-garde masterpieces of the budding artists.
  • Telok Kurau Primary School celebrated its 79 th Anniversary on 18 November at the Meritus Mandarin Singapore.
