Learning Journey to Sentosa

P4 students were engaged in experiential learning through a learning journey to the following places of attraction in Sentosa: Images of Singapore, Merlion and Carlsberg Sky Tower. Besides helping to make what has been learnt in school real and concrete, the visit will also broaden the mental horizons of students and at the same time contribute to their total development.

The learning journey will give students the opportunity to understand how Singapore has developed and instill a sense of pride in our achievements. Our young will also understand that hard work, desire to excel and readiness to take calculated risks, have allowed Singapore to overcome many constraints which a small city-state has to face. Students will also learn how Singapore has evolved into the thriving and harmonious multi-racial society she is today.

Our school approaches this learning journey in a multi-disciplinary way. Bearing multiple learning objectives in mind, the learning experience of the students will be enhanced through exposure to other curricular areas at the same time.

The Young Arborist Programme (YAP) is a specially designed
educational package for upper primary and lower secondary kids. It aims to help the young learn more about trees and see them through the eyes of an arborist.
It also teaches what are Heritage Trees and realize how precious they are.  The programme is geared to promote fun in learning about trees through the use of colourful graphics and easy-to-read text and aims to nurture appreciation of the trees around our school and neighbourhood, their roles and importance to the environment.
