What are the different modes of communication with the class teachers? | You child’s teachers will establish a preferred mode of communication with you at the start of the school term. In addition, parents may also consider emailing the form teacher or leaving notes using the Student Handbook for communication. The e-mail addresses are available on our website (Direct Link). You may also call the school to schedule an appointment to speak with the teacher. Parents are encouraged to communicate and engage with teachers within school hours on weekdays and during school terms, unless urgent. |
How do I get information about school programmes? | Once your child is registered with Telok Kurau Primary School, you can log into Parents Gateway to access announcements. (more information will be provided during P1 Orientation Day) |
Can I enter the classroom during school hours to pick up my child if he is unwell? | Due to security reasons, parents are only allowed restricted access within the school premises during school hours, limited only to the General Office. Parents are to report to the security guard post upon entry and pick up a ‘Visitor Pass’. You will then need to proceed to the General Office where the staff will assist you. Your child will be brought to the General Office. |
What is the class size for a Primary 1 class? | There is a maximum of 30 students in each class. |
Will there be any weighted assessments at Primary 1? | There will be no examinations and weighted assessments at Primary 1 so that our students can ease into formal schooling more smoothly. Will there be any support for my child to buy food and drink during recess? | The teachers will be there to show the students how to purchase food and drinks from the canteen stalls. |
